Made these delish. Cranberry Cookies, with dried cranberries, golden raisins, some orange juice and zest and a hint of peanut-butter (that i decided would give them even more of a kick!) ;)
Soo yummy! Can´t stop eating them! :P

Oraganic whole wheat bread with sesame, poppy and pumpkin seeds, inside and top! :)

Excrementos de bovinos na nossa Água

Water contaminated by cow manure can transmit disease-causing bacteria and parasites, as well as causing fish kills and toxic algae blooms (ex: Lagoa das Furnas.)
Without clean water protections, human health risks are substantial and the untreated cow manure will leach into surrounding waters. Let´s spread the word and demand better inspection to dairy farms, especially big ones!
Help stop our water pollution and better our environment and health!

A criação de gado é uma das mais importantes fontes de poluição do meio ambiente. Ela consome grandes quantidades de recursos, gerando resíduos e gases que contaminam o solo, a água e o ar.

  No meio ambiente, estes excrementos nitrificam o solo e a água, superalimentam com matéria orgânica (eutrofisam) os corpos de água e colocam em risco a saúde pública, estando associados à disseminação de coliformes fecais, proliferação de insetos e problemas de saúde como alergias, hepatite, canceres e outras doenças.    

          Todos os dias, cada vaca produz cerca de 40 kg de esterco seco.  

             As nossas ilhas não suportam, o nosso mar também não, e nós muito menos.

Dairy Farms in the Azores - The Unconvenient Truth

 

 

Fact: It is Ilegal to seperate a calf from its mother in less than 30 DAYS after birth.

This is obviously not happening in the Azores, farmer´s seperate calfes from their mother´s as soon as they are born! They tie the calfes and place them alone in open fields, regardless of extreme weather condions.

Animal Cruelty: Let´s Fight It!

Please spread the word and Take Action to defend these indefensive creatures.
